He made some good points. I had no idea he was a gun owner himself.

Isn't gun ownership a liberal ideal?

Exactly, I'm liberal and I plan on becoming a gun owner someday for my families and personal security. I believe conservatives believe we're all like Piers Morgan when in fact that's not true. There's a over-abundance of weapons in the hands of the wrong people, so why should I or better yet my family suffer for that? Somebody comes in my house when I become a gun owner and you have something else coming to you. I guarantee that.

So what is so noteworthy about what he said? You started a post to say you are surprised that Maher said "You can do all this sh*t and it isn't going to do anything"?

What is so shocking about that? It's common knowledge to most liberals. To many, though, it's also a beginning towards doing something.

I doubt you plan to get an AR15 with high capacity magazines and take it with you when you go shopping though.

Not unrestricted ownership for kids, that's a conservative view.

Yeah, I'm opposed to semi-automatic weapons solely off the belief that they can perform over-kills and if its get into the wrong hands, that guy can end a lot of lives. I'm not sure in the district if we can even own guns, I'm only 21 now and most likely when I begin settling down I'll move to VA and get my gun. I really like the .357 so that's probably the gun I'll get.

People like you are why nothing gets done in this country. You lie constantly and speak when you have no idea what you're talking about. Why would anyone ever want to compromise with your ilk or the people you vote into office?
