It seems almost pointless, fact-checking the now infamous NRA ad calling President Obama a hypocrite for sending his kids to a school with armed guards, while denying that protection for YOUR kids. The ad itself was so offensive, it immediately blew up in their face. It would be like poking a dead cat with a stick.

But Glenn Kessler of the WAPO Fact Checker did it anyway, and guess what? The add is not just moronically offensive, it is FALSE. Sidley Friends School DOES NOT employ armed guards!

4 Pinocchios for a slashing NRA ad on security at Sidwell Friends School - The Washington Post

I'm not sure releasing even THAT info was such a good idea. But the facts are the facts.

And obviously, the facts are of no concern to the NRA when they are after cheap, offensive political points!

That ad claims that there are armed guards protecting the president's children. No where on that ad does it say that the school hired those armed guards. Thus while it is true that the school does not employ said armed guards, they are still there.

Knock Knock Knock, uh the NRA didn't lie. Armed Guards are protecting the Presidents kids at the School. Its called Secret Service.

Never did the NRA say the school employed the armed protection.

I guess the NRA believes that we should pay for Secret Service protection for every child in America then?

NRA said "armed police" for schools. They said that on record.
