I just came across this which is quite possibly the most hypocritical thing I've ever seen.

The gun nuts and the NRA have been spewing all kinds of nonsense about how gun free zones need to be abolished and that having armed people everywhere is the answer to everything, however just this past week was the annual SHOT expo, which is the largest weapon and firearms event in the nation. However when reading the rules on the event, I came across this gem:

"Per Sands Expo Convention Center (SECC) policy, personal firearms or ammunition are not allowed. Only firearms on display by exhibitors whose firing pins have been removed (and have been inspected by SHOT Show Safety Advisors) will be permitted on the show floor."

General Show Information - SHOT Show

That's right, no one is allowed to carry inside (even though nevada is a concealed carry state) and on top of that, all the guns on display have to be unloaded and their actions disabled.

Oh the irony!

You conveniently ignored how many armed guards at the show.

Ever been to a trade show? This was that, not a gun show or NRA convention. Just technology, bunch of officers purchasing the latest for departments, smooshing with reps, girls in booths etc. Pick up 'em up and pull the trigger on them all. Oh, yeah, all that great corporate shwag.

So? In the gun nuts minds more guns = more safety. Why would they not allow people to carry in a gun show? That's about as hypocritical as it gets.

This is why, even gunshows promoters know they can trust their own.
At least four people -- three in North Carolina and one in Indiana -- were injured after weapons went off at gun shows Saturday, officials said, at a time when there's been renewed discussion about private gun sales at such shows.

It's kind of like bringing a live newborn into an abortion clinic, I guess.

Really? Were you there? I was. I had two guns on me, loaded the entire time. No one stopped me or questioned me.

Oh the irony.

More guns in the hands of law abiding citizens = less crime.

Don't freaking twist people's words!

So, in an "anti-gun nut's" mind, less guns = No more stabbings, no more clubbings, no more rapes, no more robberies, no more stalking, no more home invasions, no more muggings, no more violence.

Where can I get a pair of those rose-colored glasses so I can live in that Utopia?????

No one committing these crimes could take out a dozen people in a matter of seconds.
