There are hardly any topics around here about it. Seems to be intentional. Why is that???

Maybe too many far right wing posters here? Maybe they don't want to acknowledge the Inauguration at all?

Not to many were happy about it from what I can gather. I thought the president gave a great speech. I wish we could find reason in compromise in this era of vitriol.

Cause this forum is mostly conservative. Congrats to the president on four more years!

So are you for or against it?

See how that works?

It's not really a subject of debate.

After seeing folks from all over the world interviewed, my goal now is to attend it in 2016. No matter who wins the office, America wins the day. Self rule by majority decision even via 3rd party electors rocks.

I didn't even watch. It's a bunch of DC elites trying to pretend the fact they won makes any type of real difference in terms of who owns and controls this country. Now Obama will collude with the GOP to cut Social Security benefits, and engage in perpetual war.

It's sad that he felt the need to prioritze gay rights and illegal alien rights in his speech. There are much greater challenges facing our troubled nation than his pet political talking points.

Did you like the inaugural ceremony? What did you think of the President's speech? What did you think of the various participants in the ceremony?

See how that works?

You say sad, meanwhile a gay couple and an illegal Colombian teen who wants to go to college were overjoyed. I guess freedom and justice for all aren't that important.
