I remember reading in one of my econ classes that Dems were better than Repubs even when there was a 1 year lag time. Do economic policies take 5+ years to show gains or could there be some merit to this?

For a man that promised to bring this country together he has done everything in his power to divide us and it worked all to well...

From the last link:

Quote:
Clinton pointed out that under Democratic presidents since 1961, the economy has added 42 million private-sector jobs, while under Republicans it has added just 24 million.
During Clinton's Presidency the House and Senate were controlled by Republicans for the last 6 years he was in office.

Amazing how that works and how the low class, low IQ doesn't comprehend it.

The problem is the Fuhrer Democrat was preceded by Idiot Boy Republican, who left a hell of a mess and left with it a mandate for democratic governance and to take immediate action to stop the economic pain. He did that.

Clinton got credit for running an economy that was running itself. Bush got credit for...I'm not exactly sure what. Obama's the one who had to bring in the broom and clean this sh*t up. And he has.

He didn't divide anyone; it's the same loons who think that rape is legitimate who did that. It's their choice to be divided. They never wanted to work with him in the first place, so just cut the b.s.

Current democrats want France, where earners over 1M Euro are taxed 75% income. America cannot stand for that. Steve Jobs wasn't in it to live in a track home in the suburbs. Branson wouldn't have invested in private space travel if he was relegated to traveling in a Cessna.
Obama zombies (not the democrats we knew and rallied behind) are full on class warfare because "our guy won." All I hear, "our guy won," we'll do what we want!

+1million and 1.

Besides, the economy (or at least the GDP) isnt relevant to the average person. GDP has moved up for the last 40 years, real incomes have gone no where, endemic unemployment has risen massively. The economy should be measured on purchasing power and employment vs unemployment alone, none of this manipulated GDP rubbish.

Keep on growing the welfare benefits, and the freebees and see what happens, there will not be any economy. I just heard the 1 out of 4 people in NYS are on medicare. How long can any economy last at this growth rate and cost. Greece is a good example of our future. The downrating of our Financial Ratings is a good sign of what is happening.
