I remember reading in one of my econ classes that Dems were better than Repubs even when there was a 1 year lag time. Do economic policies take 5+ years to show gains or could there be some merit to this?

Believe it or not, I really don't have a problem with the pre Obama era Democrat's. I thought Clinton was a decent President for a Democrat. Putting aside his blow job and subsequent impeachment. The huge issue I have with the Fuhrer's Democrat's is that they are not Democrat's they a socialist liberals. The fact is that the conservatives have not went so far right and are not any more rigid. It's that the Democratic party has turned into the socialist party and has been taken over by dope smoking wacko's who think that people who don't agree with dope parties, gay sex acts and entitlement living are racists and if you make more money than they do your evil and need to pay more in taxes to fund their entitlement lifestyle. Up until the moron was put into office I never had anything other than a theoretical issue with moonbats. We had our own belief systems but somehow managed to find common ground. This moron has totally divided the country and brought the dope smoking, gay entitlement wacko's out of the wood work. Sad really, because, just like liberals looking at conservatives, I have a hard time looking at them let alone trying to carry on a conversation with them. I think if everyone is honest with themselves this is the most this country has ever been divided and it's not just a philosophical division it is down right anger and disgust that will take years to over come if it ever is...
For a man that promised to bring this country together he has done everything in his power to divide us and it worked all to well...
Clinton pointed out that under Democratic presidents since 1961, the economy has added 42 million private-sector jobs, while under Republicans it has added just 24 million.
During Clinton's Presidency the House and Senate were controlled by Republicans for the last 6 years he was in office.

The problem is the Fuhrer Democrat was preceded by Idiot Boy Republican, who left a hell of a mess and left with it a mandate for democratic governance and to take immediate action to stop the economic pain. He did that.
Clinton got credit for running an economy that was running itself. Bush got credit for...I'm not exactly sure what. Obama's the one who had to bring in the broom and clean this sh*t up. And he has.
He didn't divide anyone; it's the same loons who think that rape is legitimate who did that. It's their choice to be divided. They never wanted to work with him in the first place, so just cut the b.s.
Current democrats want France, where earners over 1M Euro are taxed 75% income. America cannot stand for that. Steve Jobs wasn't in it to live in a track home in the suburbs. Branson wouldn't have invested in private space travel if he was relegated to traveling in a Cessna.
Obama zombies (not the democrats we knew and rallied behind) are full on class warfare because "our guy won." All I hear, "our guy won," we'll do what we want!
Besides, the economy (or at least the GDP) isnt relevant to the average person. GDP has moved up for the last 40 years, real incomes have gone no where, endemic unemployment has risen massively. The economy should be measured on purchasing power and employment vs unemployment alone, none of this manipulated GDP rubbish.
Keep on growing the welfare benefits, and the freebees and see what happens, there will not be any economy. I just heard the 1 out of 4 people in NYS are on medicare. How long can any economy last at this growth rate and cost. Greece is a good example of our future. The downrating of our Financial Ratings is a good sign of what is happening.
