It may ultimately come down to removing marriage from the benefits equation entirely as singles are clearly denied the benefits that the married enjoy. The homosexuals will say “you can always get married” but fail to acknowledge that there exist those who do not want to marry or be required to do so just to get benefits.
If the same sex partner is living in a legally recognized relationship, marriage or otherwise, then he/she should be afforded the same employment benefits heterosexual couples living in a similar/same legal status receive. Otherwise, the option to offer spousal benefits in this situation should be at the discretion of the employer.
Why the personal stabs? I only said I am not willing to financially support sinful lifestyles.
