In malpractice case, Catholic hospital argues fetuses aren’t people | The Colorado Independent

So now when it's to save them from being sued for wrongful death NOW suddenly a fetus is not a living person and therefore has no rights ? interesting !!

The law firm for the church said under the law a fetus isn't a person, not the church.

"Instead, they are arguing STATE law protects doctors from liability concerning unborn fetuses on grounds that those fetuses are not persons with legal rights."

So than if a fetus is not a person then how can an abortion be considered murder? IF they have no legal rights as a person then does this mean pro-life is BS ? And all these new abortion laws that have either been passed or are in the process of it are in fact pointless?

Lawyers argue the law, that's it. A fetus may or may not have rights, but in that state a fetus is not recognized. There are alot of double standards when it comes to abortion.

If a pregnant mother is killed and the child dies it counts as 2 homicides, but if the mother aborts it is not murder. That might be where the roots of this law came from, but I'm not sure, each state sets their own laws.
