I am aware of that, I don't think people like the OP are, I think they think all of Chicago is like this because of their strict gun laws.

An invisible electric fence. It's like this all over the Country.

Not the Mayor.

Not the parents of the kids who buy the drugs and fuel the demand.

Long story short, the violence in Chicago affects very few people.
Which is very true. I do wish the mayor would make this something to actually deal with, but I don't think the pro gun people on this section understand the gun violence is only in a few areas and it has nothing to do with guns.

Guns cannot be bought/sold in Chicago. There is no shortage of licensed dealers in the suburbs and close by Indiana and Wisconsin. Private dealers are everywhere.
How many of the shooters in the article do you think bought their guns legally?

That is a good question, it is a shame we don't have a universal way of finding that answer out without blind speculation.

Exactly -- not just Asians -- but millions of people come here from south of the border and millions of them have no education, no literacy skills, and not especially high IQs and they are finding all kinds of jobs -- like hotel cleaning jobs, lawn mowing jobs, fruit picking jobs --- it all has to do with work ethic, too many Americans are perfectly happy to live out their lives without ever having to get up and go to work.

Liberal policies are all about warehousing these people, there is no attempt being made to get them to become productive citizens.

That part right there is what they have been trying to get across all along. All the gun restrictions Chicago has only affects the law abiding citizens, but the underlying factors actually drive the violence.
Now if you are a MMA fighter you have better odds, but most people aren't.

I think its a little of both.

The gun nuts (both those who want outright bans and those who want every citizen to have a bazooka) use Chicago because its been in the news. Some anti-Obama people use Chicago because its where Obama is from.

The sad thing is that most people don't really care about the people being murdered either way.
