I guess money is more important than turning your guns in to get them off the street. Nice work liberals! I mean, nice work on being hypocrytes that is!

I read about that. Also at the Seattle gun buy back, a 'Stinger Surface to Air Missile Launcher' was sold in a deal between two people that's now making headlines.
Guess you missed the point that they ran out of the gift cards. They bought back all they had money for.
Seems the only mistake was they didn't hold it indoors where they could have limited their competition. The biggest problem was that they didn't fund it as well as was needed.

The point is that many of the guns being turned in were worth MORE than what the police were willing to pay for them. Why turn in a rare or collectible firearm worth $600 for a $100 gift card?
Some people don't know what their stuff is worth. Gun buyers would love to get grandpa's L.C. Smith $1500 shotgun for $100.

But if they are willing to sell for less do you really want tax dollars wasted?

The ignorance of the media knows no limits. That is the expended housing of a Stinger if I'm not mistaken...legal and available from any number of surplus stores and an interesting historical artifact. But it's empty and not able to be fired. Makes for a good way to scare the ignorant, that's about it's only danger. It's as dangerous as a fired shotgun shell. Whatcha going to do, use it as a club?
The Government protecting free enterprise - that's rare!
