The waitress unfortunately ran into the "perfect storm" of bad tippers.
1. Black person
2. Christian
3. Sunday after church
4. Pastor
I can honestly say that every Christian pastor that I have ever dealt with is a cheapskate that thinks the world owes them something for their faith.
I wonder what the same Jesus that said "whatsoever you do to the least of my brothers that you do unto me" thinks about this kind of scumbag move by one of his supposed earthly representatives. Methinks the pastor might be dealing with an entirely different kind of afterlife than the one they counted on if this is the way they treat people.
On top of stiffing the server and the ridiculous "why do you deserve more than god" BS, whining like a little punk to the manager and getting someone fired was enough to deserve an eternity in hell IMO.
She (the pastor) didn't get anyone fired. The employee (not the waitress) was fired for posting the thing on the internet. It violated Applebee's privacy policy.
Another FAIL from liberals.

That 'pastor' is nothing but a cheapskate and a fraud. She should be ashamed. Going out of her way to insult someone who probably busted her butt waiting on that table and treated poorly the entire time. What goes around comes around. Applebee's food has always sucked but admitely my husband and I would grab it on occassion. Not anymore!

Nope, it was a BLACK WOMAN pastor. She DID leave a tip. The automatic 18% plus cash was left by each person at the table.
I don't think that she left cash because what would be her reasoning for leaving the note. Because she said so doesn't mean it happened. She didn't realize that they would automatically deduct it from her credit card tho. So it seems that she did pay the tip.
She should stick with McDonald's as there they don't expect a tip.
a tip (gratuity) may (for large groups) be RECOMMENDED to be up front and 18%...its still OPTIONAL
and the FACT is he/she tiped MORE than what was requested on the reciept...the reciepts 18% was $6.29...he have he a $34 tip
should you leave 18% if you get lousy service....I think not
except it is NOT optional. If you ever go to a restaurant look at the menu.
The $34 for the bill and the tip was $6.29. They thought they could get away with not paying the 18% if they did smaller checks. I guess they didn't realize that they were all sitting at the same table.
If some place says that you will be charged a certain amount then it is not optional.
A good reason to avoid paying in advance for lousy service. Anyone with half a brain cell would refuse to pay a blanket "tax" for expected service not yet rendered.
Then don't go in with a larger party.
