Protecting the Second Amendment – Why all Americans Should Be Concerned
We are current or former Army Reserve, National Guard, and active duty US Army Special Forces soldiers (Green Berets). We have all taken an oath to “…support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same.…” The Constitution of the United States is without a doubt the single greatest document in the history of mankind, codifying the fundamental principle of governmental power and authority being derived from and granted through the consent of the governed.

Well there you have it, current former Army Reseve, National Guard and active duty Special Forces have spoken, so I as a citizen should do what? Stand up and salute and do as they say? I think not.
In short, they put on their pants like the rest of us and their opinion is no more nor no less important than the next person.
But thank you for sharing and thank them for their service.

Yes, I think that's basically what the OP would like you to do.
Does anyone foresee a day when military fetishism will be on the decline?

Typical liberal disdain for the military, ie.
They may put on their pants like the rest of us, which again is typical liberal arrogance and ignorance, thinking that all things are equal without accounting for integrity and character. Please take a turn preserving those freedoms you dismiss out of hand before dismissing those who put their lives on the line to do so.
Did you read the post?
They took an oath to defend The Constitution, a document you don't understand and dismiss with the same ignorance and arrogance you dismiss those who have taken the oath to preserve it.
From all enemies, foreign or domestic.

It doesn't fit with some folks view that the 2A should be re vamped to apply only to a privileged few. Typical elitism. These folks feel they are somehow more ...in the know...than us average knuckle draggers. Anything that might show that not everyone thinks like them, and that they are actually a very small, just mouthy, minority.
