Another day, another scandal from those "family values" GOP politicians,..

This time it's a Nebraska lt. governor that made around 2,000 calls to adult sex lines on his state issued phone. It's likely that these calls were made on taxpayer dime.

The Lt. governor has since resigned.

For ford's sake.
Are these people so stupid that they don't know to use their personal phones for private matters?

He should have resigned. He should also be forced into paying back the costs associated with what he did.

I didn't see anything about "family values" in the article, however. I'm not familiar with his campaign platforms like you are, admittedly.

What, specifically, are GOP family values?

Do they differ from Democrat family values?

Yes, way too many are that stupid. Yet they still get elected. Sometimes they even get re-elected. Go figure.

A little googling leads to a materially different story. There were over 2,300 late night phone calls to women, and he was still married while making them, but they don't appear to be sexual in nature. He was involved in a relationship with at least one of the women, who said he promised he'd marry her.

But the story is weird (to me, anyway) for two unrelated reasons. I'm a little surprised to see Sheehy's occupational background-- a paramedic. Not that there's anything wrong with that, it's just kind of interesting. And there's a picture of Sheehy leaving the Nebraska governor's mansion. It looks like a McMansion. A nice one, to be sure, but take a look for yourself.

Sheehy chatted most with two former elected officials - Omaha.com

You don't even have to google. It says that right in the failed OP's linked article. Bigger than life.

That Gieco commercial about living under a rock suddenly leaps to my mind about now.

OP must've forgot about the likes of Weiner, Clinton, and Client #9......all democrats by the way. It doesn't get much worse than a sitting President (previously accused of rape btw) cheating on his wife with an intern IN the White House. Yet he never apologized to the American people as far as I know and his actions were quickly seen as a joke or some sort of badge and its as if he's a hero now to some.
