I was in the grocery store and saw two 12 year olds riding around in the scooters chasing each other. If I was their parent I'd have said the same thing my parents would have said to me: " Get out of that chair you can walk, stop being so stupid and childish." I'd like to say that to some of the twenty and thirty year olds who are too lazy to walk.
Those chairs are for those who legitimately need them. You don't even see obese people or the elderly use them exclusively, its more normal weight people who just don't want to walk. And don't get me started on all the handicapped parking abuse that goes on.
People with real disabilities have to start to be heard and speak out against those that just want to milk the system. Pretty soon they'll be pushed around by the fake handicapped.
The DOJ needs to make disability and welfare fraud it's number one priority.
Good luck-the Social Security Administration has been "advised" to not fight disability claims as much-if the person has "proof" he/she is physically or mentally disabled...well they get a free ride. My friend is a lawyer for the SS. And a family member is a paralegal for SS. Both of them is disgusted that people who are clearly faking get disability...
Start with major changes in the laws during the Reagan administration (that allowed more people with mental disabilities and musculoskeletal problems to qualify), growth of the total population, a growing aging work force & more woman in the workforce who can become disabled and claim, and a economy that healthy people can't find jobs, so many who may have worked while being disabled are also unable to find a sustainable job.
The share of disabled worker benefits awarded to older workers (age 45 and older) has risen while the share going to younger workers, those between the ages of 25 to 44 has fallen.
To be eligible for disability, a person must prove he or she is unable to work due to a medical condition that will last at least a year. Thousands get denied claims each week.
I will let my neighbor who has had MS for the last 14 years know that folks like you feel that she is a moocher.

Reason: typo 14 not 4
Thousands do get turned down every week, however if they obtain an attorney and appeal, there is a 98 percent chance they will succeed, as long as the claimant heeds the advice of the attorney. Depression and anxiety are now the most common ailment that people are being granted SSDI. Just a matter of being treated and medicated for either of those. My neighbor has anxiety and takes 1.5mg of Adivent daily. She takes before bed, but it pretty much keeps her drowsy most of the next day and can not work because of it.

I was reading about that. You get the 2 denials and then go in front of a judge and over 90% of the time the judge approves the claim. Articles say to expect the denials as well.
I was reading of one judge that has a 99% approval rate from SSDI hearings.
And Americas population grows by 2.3 million people I wonder if there is a correlation with the number of people the nation has grown by and the number of disabled? HMMMMMM makes one wonder, except you mrxxx. Is there are reason you have triple x in your name are you trying to tell us you are one of those repressed Christians who watch the most porn? Another number climbing, the most people who watch porn and pay for it is the mid west Christians. LOL go figure.
