Now that is a good book, it is a shame they only got to read 40 pages of it and then had to do a pointless project on it. I do wonder about some states' education program, it definitely varies from state to state in this country and the effects definitely show.
True. I am very glad that Idaho has funded their "Digital Learning Academy" so classes that would not normally be available to rural kids are available via the internet. Of course, the governor and the superintendent of schools have been trying to use this to slash the education budget even more.
Lord of the Flies is promoting reading and literacy in the schools.
Haven't the public schools banned this book yet? It has the word "Lord" in the title which is bound to offend one or two liberal atheists in their classrooms.

Lord of the Flies is 8th grade level while Hunger Games is 5th grade level.

Who is pushing the idea of Utopia?
If you are asking these questions, then you need to stop and look around at the people you are supporting and the far-right you are supporting will gladly answer these questions for you, but that would take us beyond off topic. If you honestly don't know these answers I suggest starting a new thread asking these questions so that you can get a larger feedback.

I am against the banning of any book, also the word "Lord" is more like saying "King of the Flies." It isn't really a god reference, but I get the point you were trying to make.

Yes, those are the people who have always gotten books banned from classrooms, the atheists. Well done.
Trust me, you don't want someone to start listing the examples of book bans and which side of the spectrum was behind them.
