The answer is that racists can not stand anything positive that runs counter to their bigotry. It eats them up like a cancer rotting their guts from the inside out. Several people did similar things in that thread (are were promptly reported)
I don't know why you are talking about racists, because I abhor and despise racism.
I posted it there because Dorner was black and part of history.
I later deleted it because I realized that it went counter to the positve spirit that you were trying to maintain.
I have posted at least 4 individuals on that thread who did make positive contributions.
The fact that you would presumably oppose Dorner's inclusion illustrates perfectly why history should not be subdivided based on the skin color of historical figures.
We all bleed red - and are better unified rather than diviided.

I make about $66K. I know that sounds high to some people but in Chicago, it does not make you rich by any means. Because I work for the government (Chicago Public Schools), I do get pretty decent benefits and a pension.
