This is a sad story of someone that believed in the 9/11 conspiracy. He viewed the demon as "at the gates" when it was already in the house.

2 lives were eliminated before they had a chance, what a waste.

of course the conspiracy folks want to believe it was a conspiracy and not a murder suicide. I dare say it was a mentally unstable person, allowed to own guns. can we see another category that should be eliminated from gun ownership?

Phillip Marshall: Former airline pilot and conspiracy theorist 'shot dead his two teenage children and his dog before turning the gun on himself' | Mail Online

Very sad, makes you wonder about some of the cd folks....

There have been and always will be unstable people in any society. Some of them are more prone to get into consiracy theories.

There's no shortage of bloggers and talk show hosts who fear monger and pander to people prone to conspiracy theories. The better ones become very wealthy.

Some physiologists say that belief in conspiracy theories allows the believer to feel superieior to non believers because " they know" the truth. In other words, it's an ego thing- seeking something to feel superior to others.

I think there is a big difference between a conspiracy theory junkie and a deranged person.

A conspiracy theroy junkie may suspend reality to believe the conspiracy...but the do not suspend reality totally and go off kill their children.

I wonder if the OP thinks things just happen? No planning, nothing. People just sit around and all of a sudden things just happen.

I'm a retired Air Force officer and I can assure you that things don't just happen. When 2 or more people talk about doing something, that's a conspiracy. People in this country are charged for conspiracy every day! Anybody that doesn't think there are conspiracies is incredibly naive!

BUT they seem to be more likely to go postal than the average bear. Not all people with paranoid schizophrenia do mass shootings either, but when it happens there's a pretty decent chance that it may be an issue.

You know what drives people to do bat crazy sh** ? they are human. It grows tiresome that there has to be a label installed on tragedies and murders, he was a prepper, conspiracy theorist, he was right wing, he was a liberal, he was gay,he was a bible thumper.......... and when it is all said and done it does not mean squat or prove any point. Bottom line is we live in a mad mad world.
