Why do they take comedians so serious? A comedian makes a crack, you either find it funny or you don't, on to next joke. I guess when millions of Americans consider a Hollywood actor to be our greatest President, this should be expected.

Ronald Reagan was the Governor of California and president of the Screen Actors Guild before being elected President. He had EXPERIENCE.

The problem with comedians is you don't know when they are being themselves or "performing".

I suppose if you elevate comedic actors to governor and President, you would hold their views to a high standard.

I personally feel that a comedian's job is to make people laugh, not to make policy.

Then you should tell Al Franken to resign from the Senate.

If Dennis Miller says it, then they don't get offended.

That's easy, is there a mic or camera in front of them?

No comedian should ever apologize for his or her "offensive" jokes.

Right wing politicians are such an easy target that left wing comedians have a wealth of material. Why aren't there any right wing comedians? On purpose I mean - I'm not talking about Cain or Perry or Palin.
