It's easy to write a canned response to anything Obama speaks... what he promises he never does, and what he does never changes. Completely transparent and predictable.

“It is time Democrats admit that not every dollar spent on domestic programs is sacred,” he said. “And it is time Republicans realize that military spending is not immune to waste and fraud.”

Not much else needs said.

Third parties simply cannot be covered. Just the major parties merit network time.

3rd parties?

Hell, I want two, instead of the one Progressive party they give us, now.
Where is the Conservative party? It is not the establishment Republican party, by a long shot.

The Establishment GOP and Democrats agree on little, and as the 2 major parties, each deserve a role SOTU evening.

It's just that the liberals demonized the Tea Party as racist extremists so thoroughly that they are toxic now. It's one of those tell a lie often enough and eventually people will believe it type things. You can see it from the liberals right here on this forum. Some of the Republicans are just neocons and RINOs, but many mainstream Republicans were forced to become detractors, or at least to not be supporters, for their own political survival.

Despite the fact that I have never seen the Tea Party say one word about race ever in all the years of its existence, it still has been tarred and feathered as a racist movement due to the constant accusations. It's like being falsely accused of rape - your life is still ruined in the court of public opinion even if you're cleared of the charges in the court of law.
