Here is how you treat a liberal when they bring they wussified ways with them!
From the article about the letter;
Cheyenne resident Audette Fulbright and her family moved here last August from Roanoke, Virginia so that she could take over a preaching position at a local church. They had three to four locations besides Cheyenne that they were looking at moving to, but finally settled on the Capitol City because they felt it was the best place to raise their children.
However, they have developed some concerns over the recent discussion of House Bill 105, which talks about conceal/carry gun policy in schools. In addition, the whole issue of fracking has them concerned as well. So, Audette sent a letter to representatives across the state voicing those concerns.
The Response.
Rev. Fulbright,
I'll be blunt. If you don't like the political atmosphere of Wyoming, then by all means, leave.
As some people were saying, both people in this situation have the right to their freedom of speech. However, in both cases, they have to live with consequences of their speech. Whether you agree with the preacher or not, she did in fact write a well-written and polite letter to one of her elected representatives, and what she got back was insulting. This Rep could have easily written back to her with the same opinion, but in nicer, more polite way.
Also, the point about "changing" Wyoming. Since this is a bill that's going before WY legislature, that means it's not currently a law. Doesn't that mean these legislators are trying to "change" WY with this bill?
Considering the hateful comments by the *******s so far.... it appears you struck a nerve OP
I love Wyoming, grerat natural beauty, not alot of people (those that are there like their freedom instead of being dominated by bedwetting nanny statists like NY)
After reading this thread, I like Wyoming even more
And you claim you are an independent. Yeah right. Every post of yours reads like a screed from the far right edge of the Republican Party. Why bother claiming you're an independent that favors some aspects of govt. An independent wouldn't using the term "statist", imo. Why aren't you a "statist" for favoring the govt enforce environmental regulations, or funding high speed rail?

It was a condescending letter that insulted the culture of the state she had CHOSEN to move to for the sake of her family. Had she not written a bully letter, she may have gotten a different type of response.
I think the reverend (or is it high priestess) is a flake and she intentionally wrote an inflammatory letter, just because she is an elitist who likes to incite trouble.
Just goes to show, religious people are only useful and worth unwavering respect when fighting the latest war on Christmas or advocating for creationism in schools.
Sort of like members of the military are only useful and worthy of respect when they aren't gay, or women.
Par for the course with this bunch.
