This has never been about making anyone "safer." Or reducing the amount of crime by firearm. This has always been, and will always continue to be, about control. As long as the people are armed, the people are in control, and fascist politicians hate that. The only way fascists can gain control is by disarming the populace, and that is precisely why the Second Amendment exists in the first place.
So it does not matter how much or how little any new law impacts crime, as long as it deprives the law-abiding. That is their ultimate goal.

Actually the memo points out that in Australia where they had a big gun buy back coupled with a ban did little to reduce gun violence, but they haven't had any mass shootings since doing such a thing. And seeing most people associate mass shootings to the need for gun bans, it makes sense to want to have measures in place that can limit or eliminate mass shootings.
If one wants to address gun violence you have to go after those that buy guns legally and then turn around and sell them illegally.

Did I read in the memo that none of these laws mean squat without registration of our fire arms. I don't intend to register mine that were bought before that rule went into effect as many others refuse to do. I certainly do wonder if Dianne Feinstein really gives a damn about that as long as she can get all, or most of our guns turned in. She certainly does want to emulate Germany and Russia it seems.
Once again the Democrats are on the wrong side of history. They lost the Civil War and their ability to own slaves, now they want a War on the Second Amendment in order to make us all their slaves.
