I think there is and its only to continue to pick up speed. The good ole boy network is on its way out.
According to the link, having U.S. Senators elected by popular vote is a bad idea.
The speaker in the video is from Freedom Works, a shill organizations funded by billionaires and corporations.
What the speaker is basically saying is that the Republicans should double-down on their failed shift, and move more to the right. Good. They'll lose more elections.

If you mean the political elites who create the Washington establishment, are on their way out, I hope so.
I wish the Democratic Party would start doing the same thing. The OWS movement was on the right track for a while, opposing cronyism, fraud, and abuse, but they seem to have been bought out, and have embraced the good old boy, incumbent, political establishment system.
What about the Democratic Party voters? Is there ever a tipping point for when politicians engage in too much fraud, waste, abuse and theft? Will you you folks ever demand an accounting from your politicians? Is there a higher calling then the welfare of the nation? Or is being politically partisan the middle, beginning and end for your party's voters?
Democrat voters can start by being honest with themselves. Those things you found offensive during Bush, such as high deficits and national debt, perceived abuses to our rights and freedoms from the Patriot Act, cronyism, etc... be principled and consistent, oppose those things no matter which party a politician belongs to.
