They believe NO to pre-marital sex.

That is the same thing if you think about it.

That does not mean they do not believe in condoms.

If they crammed it up there, putting it back into circulation could be considered a federal offense...

A good friend of mine works at a failing school in my area and it is sickening to listen to the stories the mom's tell her about "needing to have another baby so that she can get more money and can't live with any baby's daddy because then I get less money and a lesser space in the project housing." Not to mention the fact that those great mother's only get their lazy butts out of bed on 'collect the check' days. Then they proceed to discuss what they are going to do with their hair and nails. This happens EVERY month and I could go on and on with what my friend witnesses.

I have no respect for people like that.
What people like that? People on welfare are hardworking families just struggling to get by. The only reason they are on welfare is because corporate CEOs won't pay them enough. Ask any liberal, they'll tell you.

About a pro lifer condoning abortion, virtually all of them I know do condone it for medical reasons, just not as an elective procedure.

As far as the definition of the term, notice the term is "pro life" not "pro fetus" so there's no problem with being pro life but not at the expense of the mother's health

there is a major disconnect going on here
The disconnect is you saying Christians want to ban these things.

Catholics want to ban birth control and abortion.

Christians (as in Protestants) want to ban abortion but not birth control.

Neither one wants to ban welfare for children.

I don't think that's why they want it publicly funded.

They want poor women to be able to have abortions, sure. But many of the liberals I've seen simply want womens' sex lives to be subsidized. They advocate for both birth control and abortion to be funded for all women. Others want it funded only for poor women, but not to "promote" abortion, simply to have it available. Generally seems to vary depending on whether they are feminist liberals who are all for anything they can get for women or "my need to view myself as compassionate overwhelms my common sense" liberals who are all for anything they can get for poor people. The former are ideologues while the later think what sounds nice is correct regardless of the economic or constitutional issues involved.

you can't argue with religious people; therefore, these threads are always pointless. Are you really expecting rational decision making from people that believe in nonsense?

like, if they can't afford them they shouldn't have them.

No money = no kid

So abortion is the option here according to these idealists.

Will you support this though or is it just the usual vile tripe?

My view is that we all have the right to procreate, regardless of income
It's very simple, try to follow along. If you can't take care of yourself, that is provide for your own needs, why would you bring a life into this world that is entirely dependent upon you - who is a dependent upon the gov't.? As for how to avoid pregnancy, it doesn't happen walking down the street, or by a stork, one actually has to engage in a sexual act. Don't play if you can't pay, or, if that's too hard, make damn sure you take precautions.
Discipline takes a certain amount of maturity, and that is why we have such a problem - nobody has to be responsible for their behavior anymore, Uncle Sam will take care of it. Uncle Sam is broke and in debt up to his eyeballs. Your life is your responsibility, don't dump it on the taxpayers who are struggling to meet their own obligations.

So we have no real explanation for how physical reality came to be. But if someone thinks God is the reason, that means they are irrational, believe in nonsense, and are pointless to talk to?
