CC's cannot refuse admission to anyone with a HS diploma or GED.
For 12 years kids are pushed to go to college regardless of their academic grades.
Don't have the luxury of time to do that kind of research on my phone while commuting, sorry.
What percentage don't go to any college at all, and fail even at the minimal levels established by community colleges? It is a pretty sad review of the performance of our educational system.

The title of this thread is incorrect. It says nyc high school grads, not the nyc high school grads that apply to community college, which would be a more accurate statement. There are plenty of nyc high school grads that apply to universities that do have those skills.
Typically anything that makes such a bold claim as 80% of something is typically incorrect and a cherry picked fact to stimulate outrage.
