How the hell are we going to have infrastructure when the moron is going to shut down over 150 small-medium sized airport towers nation wide? I guess he likes to see planes in mid air collisions?

He talks out of both sides of his mouth.

Smile He's right.

We need to start spending American taxpayer dollars to rebuild American highways, water systems, and the power grid.

Much wiser than the GOP desire to blast sand and camel crap in the middle east.

Our highway system in Texas is one of, if not THE best in the nation.

What's your beef?

One more time for the peanut gallery, since there are 5 other threads about these tower closings that you should read where I've posted this.

Most small towers in this country are unmanned, which is what this is doing. He isn't shutting down the airport, he is unmanning the towers.

Every small plane operator has landed and taken off from these kinds of small airfields with no air traffic controllers in the tower. You announce your approach on a common channel, you announce your take off on a common channel, and everyone waits their turn. 9 out of 10 take offs you'll never have anyone in the air around you to bother you.

This is not some terrible thing. Its over hyped by people who know nothing about flight and have only seen stuff on TV and think themselves experts.

Well at least Wisconsin gave us two good things...cheese & Paul Ryan.

Would you like some cheese with that whine, Wisconsin?

With our existing budget we could allocate funds a bit differently to rebuild American infrastructure.

Maybe you don't drive much outside the rose capital.

I posted it in #2 above. But I'll repeat it here. Let's spend American tax dollars on improving America instead of making more bomb craters in the middle east. Makes sense. Wanting to start/expand more middle east wars is beyond retarded.

Interestingly enough I drove down to Houston the other day on Highway 59 which has been upgraded to freeway/interstate standards over the past 10 years & will soon be I-69. The signs are already posted.

Small town Lufkin has some massive interchanges that would make you think you're in a big city. I should have taken pictures.

Tyler now has an outer loop/tollway.

Texas has the best roads in the nation hands down.

It just means that he wants money to finance his donors. It's payback time and he needs to pay them back.
