Apparently Obama's standard for civil liberties and transparency is being "at least not as bad" as Dick Cheney. Way to raise the bar.

I find it ironic how conservatives used to call Obama weak on defense and national security, but now they think he is being too tough.

He IS weak on overseas stuff, strong on policing Americans though.

He's definitely seems to be at least as tough (if not tougher) on US citizens as Cheney was.

Fortunately, libs believe drones will only be used on teabaggres and not the Anderson Cooper or Bawney Fwanks variety either.

I'm not going to look for a link so dismiss this if you want to but it's been reported that under Bush the same people were targeted but the oppertunity never presented itself.

All the same, the point here is valid. I'm not as bad as Cheney isn't going to cut it.
