You are blinded by the light of those who say that we will be strong enough to resist the deadly combination of the giving away of our manufacturing base to the Chinese and all this so called "free" market capitalism which seems to demand that we surrender all our rights to those seeking to create corporate feudalism. Want a job? Surrender your privacy, and you individuality.

Resistance is futile.

Today, of course, dont you think this is something the Chinese would fore upon us? After they take over, that is.

The program was a TV miniseries called Amerika. It was set in the year 1996 after America had lost the Cold War to the USSR and was occupied by UN Peacekeepers after being disarmed (The Peacekeeping Force was called the UNSS or United Nations Security Service). The Russians divided the USA into Administrative Regions (For example the states of Illinois, Iowa, Missour, Nebraska, Kansas, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Dakotas was the Heartland Administrative Region). The Soviets were afraid of the USA rsing like a Phoenix from the ashes in the future and chose to erase the USA by replacing it with a number of smaller "independent" Socialist Republics of which Heartland was to be the prototype

I think including Canadian provinces in a fantasy about breaking up the United States of America shows a shocking lack of knowledge of history, geography, and civics.
