Government is already seizing money in the US. They are just using different techniques. The Obama administration got the blessing of the people on the left to raise taxes which is the same thing as confiscation of your money. This method does not require wearing a ski mask either, it just requires a few promises and people who believe.
No, it will not seize 10% of everyone's savings as you have to have $600,000 in a SAVINGS ACCOUNT (no other investments touched) to get hit with the 10% tax rate. Yes, it is stupid, yes, it was the German government pushing this but, no, it will not be locals who are mostly hit and instead it will be mostly Russian mobsters and South American drug lords who get hit with the tax.
