This particular passage from the New Testament doesn't even need the word. It describes it in detail:
"For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error."
(Romans 1)
Leave it to you to remove that from context. And Saint Augustine disagreed with you:
But if one has relations even with one's wife in a part of the body which was not made for begetting children, such relations are against nature and indecent. In fact, the same apostle earlier said the same thing about women, "For their women exchanged natural relations for those which are against nature." quoting Romans 1:26 (Marriage and Desire, 20.35)"
If Romans 1 is condemning gays, then Romans 2 is calling you yourself gay.
You are free to believe what you want. But if you make any attempt to remove the word "homosexuality" from the Bible's many references as being abominations, then it seems to me that you are removing something from the word of God.
Even if you only try to "explain" it away as an interpretation. Be warned!
Your interpretation of those verses is completely wrong. But people like you don't care. Anything to justify bigotry.
1. Some people believe the Bible and love God.
2. Some don't believe.
3. Still worse, some believe the Bible is the word of God, but they hate God, and they twist it and mock scripture to give it unholy meanings.
