Of course, I still think most of you, when push came to shove, would NOT pull the lever for a black man on election day - you just like tossing them up there so you all can pat yourselves on the back and claim that you would vote for him (like the idiot, Mr. 999 himself) and say, "See? We're not racists!"

Does anyone really think that Herman Cain was any more than a token?

"Our blacks are better than their blacks!" lol
That's not true. I'd vote for him because he's a very smart man with some pretty good ideas. Herman Cain is a pretty smart guy, but Dr. Carson is a brilliant guy. He's a brain surgeon and his brother is a rocket scientist. Their mother only had a 3rd grade education. Imagine how smart she must have been though with two kids like that. Too bad she grew up in the wrong time. She raised some amazing children though. It's a pretty wonderful accomplishment for a single mother with the issues she had to deal with. She taught her kids to believe in themselves and be self-reliant. Dr. Carson was a troubled youth, but she somehow managed to break through that and get him to live up to his full potential. I applaud her for that.

They were saying to get ready for the liberals to go after him and try to rip him apart. When asked what he thinks about Obama, Dr Carson said "I think he is a very talented politician".
And Republicans really wonder why liberals believe they are propping up the African Americans in their party.

Allen West is another one of those "our Blacks" types, as if their arent hard working African American liberals.

Yes, we do have a disdain for community organizers. Sure it's thrown at Obama as an insult as if it's not a "real job" which is kind of an illegitimate insult. It is a real job and it does require real skills. But beyond that, a lot of us just don't like community organizers on principle. They are professional rabble rousers. The people on the left have disdain for them too. After all, the Tea Party leaders are what? They're community organizers. People on the left blasted the Tea Party organizers as astroturf scumbags.

Whether they are organizing for the left or for the right or for something that isn't political at all, the job itself is just not respectable. When a "concerned citizen" does it, that's fine - they are doing it out of sincere convictions over a problem they care about to benefit their friends and neighbors. But the people who do it as a career are on the same level as ambulance chasers, hit men, and lobbyists. They make their money by stirring up trouble about something that they could care less about - just give them some cash and they go out and demagogue for you.

A professional community organizer
1. doesn't live in the community and doesn't know the people
2. hasn't experienced the problem he's organizing for

Your goal is to gather people you don't know in a place you've never lived to change a problem you never experienced and you get paid to do it. It is, exactly as Pelosi said with contempt, the fake astroturf to a real grassroots movement.

No, we don't wonder that at all. We know exactly why you believe we are propping up the African Americans in our party. Don't mistake us for condemning you for it as us wondering why you're doing it.

There isn't any confusion there because you aren't making sure the wealthy and powerful don't rig the system. If you were really doing that, you wouldn't only attack Republicans. You'd attack Obama for bailing out the banks just as Bush did, and attack Obama for only saving the pensions of union workers and not nonunion workers, and attack Obama for not prosecuting any of the financiers, and attack Obama for giving Solyndra that 500 million dollar loan even though his own economic advisors told him Solyndra was going to fail from the start, and attack people like Reid who has somehow managed to amass 3 milliion dollars in investments while being a Senator, and attack Obama for hiring corporate lobbyists to work inside his administration, and attack Maxine Waters for accepting bribes to introduce legislation to favor mortgage scams, and attack Charlie Rangel for saving tax loopholes for a company that donated to him, and attack Barney Frank for interfering with bailout funds to send them to a bank he had stock in. We don't mistake you making sure people don't rig the system because you aren't actually doing anything of the sort. You're just attacking Republicans for doing it as political rhetoric, while your own insiders in Washington do it too and you give them a pass.

They surely do. All the gnashing of teeth and wringing of hands isn't going to change that.

40 acres and a mule. Yes. It would've given them a fighting chance to succeed straight out of slavery, but no, your kind didn't want to have any of that. Instead they were constantly terrorized by the triple k and Jim Crow for 100 years .

Depends on what "good" is when it comes to winning elections. I think "good" is winning on the issues. When exit polls say that you lost on the main issue but voters just thought you were a nicer guy, that means you won by successfully demonizing your opponent. That doesn't really qualify as good in my book. He was good in 2008. He had a message then. In 2012 he just won by demonizing his opponent and polarizing minorities against society at large.
