Well seeing how they seem to vote for an increase in their salaries whenever they can, that isnt likely. And I believe it was Pelosi who said something stupid, similar to DWS here, about Congress having to get their raises.
If she truly cared about her staff, perhaps shed scold unnecessary travel, spending, etc etc etc that many in DC partake in on tax payer dime. Perhaps shed say the USPS should indeed not be open on Saturdays. Or hey, maybe finally getting a responsible budget done with some REAL responsible cuts would be a good start.
She, like Obama tried to do, is being a demigod here and nothing more. She has always been the type to use rhetoric and demigod the issues.

Seems to me that if some people would spend some of their energy, they waste expressing their hatred of liberals and Democrats, urging the Republicans to not be obstructionists all the time, that that energy would be put to much better use, and we may actually get to a better place for all.

Its mercury in the DC water supply, maybe its the old lead pipes but if you get elected and go to Washington you lose 20 IQ points and become psychologically unstable. These people, the dems in particular although many repubs are nearly as bad, make Dan Quayle look like Stephen Hawking.
