Department Of Education Website Quotes Mao Zedong

How the hell does a Mao quote end up on not on a Dept of Education site, but the Kids Zone portion? You might as well post a quote of Hitler. Just because a killer says something that may make sense or motivate at one point in their lives, doesnt mean you honor him with a quote let alone have that quote on the Kids Zone.

A bit scary to think about the people we employ in our government and just who they look to for inspiration.

Many of the sites reporting this have updated to say the Dept of Education removed the quote.
Your link still has the screenshot.

I'll betcha they say they use a random quote generator/search tool and had no knowledge of what went up there.

update: dang I was right. I hadn't scrolled down on the OP link and went googling for the Dept of Education response. Then went back and scrolled down.

Good old Abe Lincoln replaced him.

It's a pretty good quote regardless. I don't get the fuss.

"Our attitude towards ourselves should be ‘to be satiable in learning’ and towards others ‘to be tireless in teaching," the quote reportedly read.

Oh, how awful! How dare they fill the kids' heads with this kind of nonsense?

A good decent quote from a God-fearing American would be far more suitable than this commie BS. How about this one?

"I love the sun but don't have the time to get a good tan and keep it year-round, so I
am a huge fan of tanning products."

-Kim Kardashian.

You personally want to quote Mao, fine.

When Mao is quoted institutionally by the portal of social justice, the educational system, which sets all the trends and forbids certain 'words' on the pretense they may offend someone, and pop tarts that look like guns, that is a problem.
  • Of course lighting up the empire state bldg yellow and red to celebrate the 60th anniversary of communist china was the 'green light' that has allowed this institutional trending toward quoting killers.
  • You do remember the Obama luminary and white hous communication director, anita dunn, who said she admired Mao and quoted him????
  • And the MAO white house Christmas tree ornament...........
"White House: We didn’t know Mao was on our Christmas ornaments"
  • and Ooooops!!!!! the whitehouse didn't know that green jobs czar was a communist..when publicized, Van Jones was dumped
  • Obama gives a speech at a catholic university and he demands the crosses in the background be covered, then he goes to the middle east and gives a speech with arafat's photo in the background

Anyone see a trend here ?
How did that mao ornament and van jones get in the whitehouse? 'we have no idea'

Holder said he was unaware of fast and furious
Napolitano was unaware that illegal alien criminal were released in AZ
Holder did not read AZ's immigration legislation before he opposed it..as in he wasunaware

I do see a trend. It seems conservatives know more about Communism than most people.

We've had NCLB for over a decade..lower the bar so that No Child is Left Behind.
Now those kids are adults and working in all facets of society, including the government.
