Why would I be mad?
I have bigger fish to fry than to fret being outraged about everything our government does or engages in.

And, to some of you who think, I did not worry about every little thing Bush did either.

If you people of the forum are mad or outraged, maybe you should contact your congress-person and let them know you don't approve of the way they mishandled GITMO, and the holding of POW's for extended periods of time. If you think it'll do any good that is, because politicians are going to do what they want to do, not what you or I want them to do.

I'd go back too. I'm not holding that against them.

Oh please DD you're making too much of a logical argument for this forum.

No, the people in jail don't get the money. More money is spent on housing POW's.

Read the post above complete with link that indicated Obama wanted to close gitmo but congress denied the funding to make it happen.

But they said it should have been shutdown over f four eyars ago and now he can.I dn't see nay republican demdnig what he can't do bewcause no one wants them shifted to there state.

He is controlled by his handlers, and they make money off of gitmo. No different than bush. he is a warmonger just like his buddy bush. Blame bush all you want, but obama has many friends that control him, they make money off of govt contracts. Keep thinking that obama is different that the other presidents. All he has is a darker tan.
Congress blocked Obama's attempts at closing Gitmo and continues to do so.

The latest round of Congressional efforts to prevent Gitmo from closing were contained in the NDAA for 2013.

There are less people in Guantanamo, though.

We need Sherrif Arpao in charge. He would get the cost down to about $2 per day.
