This holy roller is a moron, people actually listen to this guy? He is the one that left his suicidal son to the 'devil' while he was emptying out the parishioners pockets.
This guy and Joel Osteen have jumped the shark, no one takes people who make millions on the backs of the religious peasants is the definition of snake oil salesmen.
One could buy a gun from say, craigslist, and have it shipped to you.. Dont know how legal that might be though
Craigslist does not advertise firearms. If they did that it would be illegal as hell. All firearms transactions, done online, have to go through an FFL.

But it happens, see the link below

They also dont allow people to list their services for sex, (i.e. since its illegal to be a prostitute), but that wouldnt stop people from listing it.

Yep. The only "loophole", I guess, would be that someone could list it on gunbroker or some other site and then physically meet in person. Then they could avoid the background check as it is a private sale.
From what I read, the gun was not only unregistered it also had the serial number filed off. Doesn't sound like the kind of seller who planned to sell it legally no matter what additional restrictions might be passed. But this also means that Rick Warren is probably mistaken if he assumes that the seller is going to lose any sleep knowing that the gun he sold was to a disturbed individual who used it to end his own life.

The site just brought a buyer and a seller together the same as the classifieds section of any newspaper would. As long as the laws of the state were followed then there is no loophole.
Disclaimer - I do not know any details of the Rick Warren situation.

Maybe, but it's skating thin. Plus, if the buyer and seller do not reside in the same state, that's illegal as hell. Anything you bid on, on Gunbroker, if it's out of state, it HAS to be shipped to an FFL. The law is clear, and in place. Oh sure, there are ways around tbe law, but if someone is shipping guns, across state lines, or even in tbeir own state, and transfering without voing through a dealer, they are looking at huge fines and prison time.
I'm sure it does happen. Meth and heroin are illegal as hell, and tons of the crap get sold every day. Whataya bet, even on the internet. Many transactions, of totally illegal nature, happen on pre paid cell phones, everyday. And people die because of them.
So what do we do? Make more laws, that make it more illegal to sell already illegal things on the web? Are you saying tbat guns should be the sole concern for illegal web trafficking? Should everybody have to log in through government monitored servers, that flag you, and track you based on verbage?
Sounds like moving a sand dune one grain at a time in a high wind.
