So the irony isn't lost on us from yesterday's events in Boston and on April 15th, we can take some solace that our tax money isn't completely wasted............
George Orwell is that you? Seriously....WTF???!!!!
No I'm sorry but I think it is high time we started looking into this. It would eliminate many of the problems our nation faces today. Especially concerning drugs.

So in other words get rid of the 4th Amendment??? Because with this statement, that is basically what you are advocating. No thanks!

I don't think anyone would argue that 100% of our tax dollars are completely wasted, but I would argue that any waste of tax dollars deserves attention. A photo of a police officer carrying a hurt child doesn't in any way make up for the billions and billions of our tax dollars that have been wasted over the years.
You can bet that if our tax dollars went towards things like paying for more police officers who carry hurt children to safety we wouldn't be angry, instead a lot of our tax dollars end up going towards waste, corruption and inside favors.
First off, I think anyone who violates so much as a speeding infraction should have to pay for their own surveillance in their homes. These cameras could be used to monitor potential criminal activity, alcohol abuse, drug use, etc. Mandatory sentencing and punishment for any offenders, including confiscation of your children to the state, jail time, manual labor the state (and the good of the state), under a "state workers program". This will discourage crime, theft, etc.
