I don't understand why this is a "Christian vs. gay" thing.
I'm an agnostic/atheist/Darwin-Dawkins-whatever-non-believer, and there's no chance I'll trust my son to a young male gay leader, as I won't trust my daughter to a young male straight one.
Don't you love the humanists who make the "mythical" charge, yet never bring any scientific proof to the charge. Just empty bull hockey like most prog arguments. That tact, or the disprove the negative attack.
You are the one making the fantastic claim so you have the burden of proof....Show me solid proof of your invisible friend and I'll convert in an instant...
As I pointed out earlier, the BSA has taken steps to ensure that charter organizations retain the ability to set standards for their own troop leaders. The troop associated with the SBC church can recruit whoever they like to lead their troop, and the troop associated with the neighborhood Friends of Scouting can do likewise. Individual families can choose a troop that best meets their needs, as has always been the case.

My guess is that parents who aren't comfortable with who's leading will simply pull their child out of scouts or find a different troop.
Now switch that up. How many parents would be comfortable with their girls going camping, swimming, getting a ride home and what not with a male that insist on being involved in girl scouts?
So many narrow minded people here this am...I believe most Christians will be just fine with this decision, because most Christians are not bigots....Almost my entire family are Christians, and I have well over a hundred relatives....Not one of them will bat an eye at this.

I fully support that. Our boys have been through three troops in the past seven years. Sometimes it takes awhile to find an organization that suits your family. And if none can be found, then by all means seek out another activity for your kid. Nobody is forced to participate.
