Guns aren't regulated? Since when?
You can buy a grenade if you pay the tax stamp and pass the background check. You can buy a gun if you pass the background check.
Why are bomb making materials regulated in order to attempt to keep them out of the hands of criminals...while guns are not?
Some bomb making materials are regulated, just like some firearms are regulated. Those regulations don't actually keep anyone from obtaining a firearm or making a bomb. Would it surprise you to find out that a fairly powerful explosive device can be created with chemicals that you can pick up in the cleaning aisle at your local grocery store? An even more powerful one can be made if you take a trip to the hardware store. None of the chemicals I'm talking about are regulated, either.
It was noted over and over during the gun debates that if someone wants to kill they will. If they can not get guns, they will get bombs. If they can not get bombs they will go another route.
Not that you could ever make it where someone absolutely intent on doing something like this can't get what they want.
I don't know. Do we have a bomb problem in this country or a gun violence problem?
