Damn, this nation is changing fast...for the best.

A black president and gay rights....how about that, eh?

I feel like I'm living in a very pivotal time in our history. It's good to be alive in America.

Civil marriage is not simply approval of an intimate sexual relationship. Civil marriage bestows 1,138 government recognized benefits:

According to the Government Accounting Office, "[A]s of December 31, 2003, our research identified a total of 1,138 federal statutory provisions classified to the United States Code in which marital status is a factor in determining or receiving benefits, rights, and privileges."

Yawn.

People want everyone else out of their bedroom, then they want the public to sanction their intimate relationships.

Interesting how you totally don't get it.

If people didn't want other people to interfere in their private lives then they should not ask the government to get involved in their private lives.

They should demand government get out of the marriage business.
