I saw this a few months ago, and it was a re-run when I saw it. But still it left a big impression, and I figured that today, with so many boring/retread threads, is as good as any day to post it.
Book Parties and Festivals - "The Price of Politics" - Book TV
It's liberal icon Bob Woodward talking about his book of last year,
The Price of Politics. He has some very interesting things to say, considering his niche on the national scene. Around the 10:30 mark he starts talking about what he says is "the number one problem facing the country." According to Woodward, that problem is "the inability of the government to fix this borrowing/debt/deficit issue."
And a couple minutes later, around the 12:00 mark he clarifies further:

And now for my follow-up question: if a Bob Woodward can see that it's not the Bush tax cuts, not the war in Iraq, not even the housing bubble...it's the spending, stupid--why can't liberals generally see it? Why can't Pres. Obama see it?
How can so many remain so deeply in denial?
