I heard they tried to go thru the legal channels, but they heard a background check would take time. Seeing as how they were running low on spare time, they decided to just kill a cop.

But we all know the real problem is gun show and private sale loop holes!

Did the gun have a high capacity clip?

We ought to regulate that - after all we can't take the chance that a mentally unbalanced person or a terrorist can get their hands on them!

“The original question is they walked up to that car and appeared they shot the officer in the head unprovoked, that it was an assassination. But why? How did that fit into their plan? The operating theory now in the investigation is they were short one gun. The older brother had a gun. They wanted to get a gun for the younger brother and the fastest and most efficient way they could think of doing it was a surprise attack on a cop, to take his weapon and go. Officer Collier had a locking holster, it’s like a three-way lock. If you don’t know how to remove the gun, you’re not going to get it out. There was apparently an attempt to yank it and they couldn’t get it and left. “

There you go. Had it been easy and legal for anyone to own a gun, they wouldn't have had to kill the cop. They could have simply picked up a gun at the local Walmart. But No - people just have to regulate guns. See what all that regulation gets you?

If criminals want guns and then only officers have guns, then the officers will be the targets.

certainly the officers wouldn't like that scenario very much.

Yes and if only the police can have automatic weapons or even high capacity magazines that will be the new criminals gun store. A life for guns, seems reasonable right? Disgusting.
