Wall Street owns our legislators, it's no secret.

Fraud, embezzlement, insider trading, money laundering, and yet most of our lawmakers push for deregulation.

This may actually be one of the most important threads on CD, but I bet it will get fewer than average views/posts because most people don't appreciate or understand how important this is.

Anything the SEC does to improve transparency will be a step in the right direction. Let's just hope our country isn't bought out by special interests (again) and block it... and that means BOTH sides of the aisle.

As a Centrist, I find it sad that it is Dems that seem to be ones primarily pushing it. Are the Dems the only ones that have a few unpaid for politicians?

It will be shutdown by special interests and their lapdogs in DC and some of the useful idiots in the public. The same useful idiots that talk about free market capitalism and competition out of the sides of their mouth but privately support corporations and banks buying our government to rig the markets in their favor.

Calling yourself a centrist is a real knee slapper and you are not fooling anyone, your intentions of supporting the petition prove it. If the {D} party was getting the lions share of this money we would have never ever have heard a peep out of you.

Lets see how centrist you really are? if unions and other leftist donors had to disclose also would you still support the petition?

In reality this petition is not going anywhere and Obama's pick for the SEC will make sure of that.
