I see the left has not a clue on this either. We made black powder in HS chemistry. Its charcoal, sulfur and saltpeter. Not exactly a state secret. ground up and mixed with water and then when it dries it can be used. The dang Confederates made it under very stressful situations. I watched some of the idiot news casters on the left say smokeless powder. Well idiot smokeless is not an explosive. It can not easily be made into an explosive. This is whey people who make crude bombs make it with black powder or silver salute the stuff Firecrackers are made of. You can not ban your way into safety. How dumb are these lefties?
I didnt read about BGCs but did read about putting a tracer n the material that marks the batch. It was an idea that even Newt Gingrich supported in the 1990s but was scuttled by NRA lobbyists. In actuality, it is cheap and has been proven to catch bombers quickly. It also makes sense -- I can see why you would be against it.

It was scuttled because the government realized it won't work and there were dangers of static electricity with them. You understand black powder is packaged and the measuring tools used with it are all designed to prevent static electricity for a very good reason...
Moreover, anyone with some knowledge can make black powder. All that's in it is charcoal, sulfur and saltpeter. Saltpeter is widely used and available in the food industry, sulfur is commonly used in gardens and elsewhere, charcoal only requires some good hardwood and an airtight steel barrel to make it. Screening it to get the right size (F, FF, FFF, FFFF, etc.) is the most complex part but even that is not a big obstacle.

you dont even need to start with hardwood to make charcoal, you can buy it off the shelf from kingsford. you just have to grind it up into a powder.
Who is trying to ban black powder? Can you provide evidence?
Reid and he wants a background check, not banning.
Remember that next year when you think about fireworks..start applying in April so you can get your firecrackers by July.
