Washington, D.C. (AHN) - United States Vice President Dick Cheney has reportedly taken up his rifle and has gone back to the shooting range Monday, in upstate New York.

This time, the preferred location was the Hudson River Valley, where the vice president spent the entire day in the privacy of the Clove Valley Rod & Gun Club, located at Dutchess County, just outside of Lagrangeville.

Well, if he plans to hunt again, it's best that he do plenty of target practice, and get his aim right.

I had a feeling that Cheney should give up hunting for good. I had no idea he would be spending the day in the company of people who display the Confederate Flag so proudly.

You can't really call that pride of your states history since this is New York your talking about.

Someone needs to inform him that

Ready!

Fire!

Aim!

Is not the preferred sequence of events

On the other hand, aiming is only part of a hunter's education. Knowing what your prey LOOKS LIKE may be even more important. If Cheney had hit Harry Whittington, who apparently looked like a quail, more squarely, Whittington might be dead.

As a general matter, I think it's unfortunate that hunting has taken on such political connotations. I hunt now and then, but it's an entirely nonpolitical act, and it's mainly based on my love of game meats, and the flavor contrast between that and commercially-farmed fowl and beef.

I have to agree with you there, hunting shouldn't be an issue but this like many other campaigns before is full of BS trying to distract from the real issue at hand.

Can Cheney shoot straight, apparently not on the day he shot his lawyer.
Does Cheney always hang out with people who hold politically correct ideas, apparently NOT.

Does that say anything at all about the Republican party and those running for President...NO.

Of course this kind of bait and switch tactic is going against both sides, I have heard the same kind of BS about the Democratic candidates. My personal fave was all the worry that it caused when Obama took his label pin off. I haven't heard a bunch of Heterosexual men SO concerned about another mans dress in ALL MY LIFE.

I hope he's holding a NYS license!

Arrests are common without them!

Default Cheney's got a gun!

Even if you are a fan of Cheney, I think you'd like this one! It is a song parody to the tune of Aerosmith's "Janie's got a gun"
