Link: AK-47-Wielding Gunman Fires 37 Times at Shocked Cops During Routine Traffic Stop | Video | TheBlaze.com

Not sure why the gunman was upset? too many traffic tickets?

Anyway, what bothers me - this occured on March 10th and is out today in the media on May 4th.

Why did the cops wait until more than a month to release this information??

Traffic stops and domestic disputes are the most common situations where officers are assaulted or killed. Mostly because they are so common and because you never know who you are up against. At least when cops respond to an armed robbery they know they are up against someone armed and probably dangerous and they are prepared, but if it is a run-of-the-mill call they could be dealing with absolutely anyone and sometimes they get complacent.

This really needs to be put in the Armed Citizen column in the NRAs American Rifleman Magazine. Bet those Cops were thinking we need better guns, RPGs and maybe armored patrol cars!!

If he simply put a clip into the cop car there would be two deceased officers.

If he simply went around the front of the car he could likely have put 4 or 5 clips into the cop car.

The message is that nuts with easy weapon laws choose to die by cop.

An AK-47, is capable of fully automatic fire.

This is not an AR-15, by the title.
