It's funny that you state that the war is not the will of the people, but they sure love the government contracting and defense contracting jobs. If, as a nation, did not participate in warfare, which constitutes a significant portion of our employment sector, we would be much worse off. When it comes down to it, all people care about is getting their check.
let's not pretend that wars are the only way some people can make a living-we have been fed that same tired line about fighting for mid east oil, why we have been sucking up to certain countries, even covering for certain crimes committed against our own citizens.
if we had been drilling for our own resources all along we wouldn't need anyone else's oil-but the "environmentalists"/really globalists would rather have us paying to send soldiers to die in foreign lands because that is the better option, no doubt.
all this time we could have been putting people in infrastructure building natural gas stations, natural gas vehicles, equipment, power plants, and all kinds of energy self-sufficiency projects-even solar power in limited areas where it makes sense. bring the soldiers home, and that American paycheck money STAYS IN AMERICA- for food, clothing, shelter, education, building, etc.
all wars are efforts to move the money somewhere else-usually a politician's pocket (or civilian friend of politician)-basically a license to steal, with no accountability-and to keep the money at the top, where the control has always been.
An 8 year old attending a race getting killed by a terrorist attack is not the same as a trained killer who gets killed after invading another country.
