Is Limbaugh Finished? Advertisers BAIL - YouTube

96 national companies have asked Cumulus radio network not to air their ads during Limbaigh's show, leading to $5 million in losses. Including 48 (96%) out of the 50 top advertisers and ever major national ad agency.

This also includes Hannity.

How's the free market when you are losing Rush? How do you like them apples?

He'll make almost 1/2 a billion dollars over the next few years, dont think Rush cares..

oh btw op, 96 advertisers isn 96%, want to backup either, or the losses you quoted? Lower revenues dont = losses.. and if you sight a source that doenst know the difference, then you both lose credibility

GOP doesn't see a gift when it slaps them in the face. Of course they're not smart enough to care how many voters people like Limbaugh costs them.

That IS the free market. If advertisers are ignoring a popular show which draws many listeners and customers, they are making a business decison. That is up to them.

What the OP (and obviously many others) doesnt recognize is most national political shows dont have national advertisers.. If national advertisers were going to pickup the tab, then there would be no need to syndicate.

Its almost like they dont comprehend anything about business..

Radio audiences only care about LOCAL advertisers. Those companies are lined up to buy slots to get their company message heard by MILLIONS of customers. Local radio stations that carry Rush Limbaugh don't need money from Nike or Coke.

Liberals have never had much of a radio presence, largely because the people who listen to the radio during the day don't fit into their demographics. Liberals dominate the internet and have a strong presence in cable news.
