The European immigrants to America in the 19th century didn't step off the boat and ask for free stuff.
They went to work, saved their money, took advantage of oppurtunites, and contributed to the republic.
They improved their standing and passed on a better life to their children.
Now it seems that some people want to reverse that successful blueprint.
These folks are sick and they're scared- save the rhetoric for someone that gives a rats a**. No one is asking you to fork over any of your "hard earned" money to help them. I've never seen such a bunch of heartless, soulless, compassionless, empathy deprived, morally bankrupt, jingoistic, flag waving ,mentally arthritic androids, as what I've seen here on this forum. One can only hope these "people" are much more human-like in real life. The more I read these forums, the stronger my resolve is to become an Australia citizen
They do not count my mother (2 people) because she is not disabled or has turned 65
All we asked was medicaid for my dad at least, my mother was fine. They told us NO.
That is not how they calculate it. The calculate based on family size.

That website just said household size. Nothing on there said both parties have to be above 65. It's weird they want both parties to be above 65, but want to count the income as just 1 person's.
There is a government program for preexisting conditions, but it ran out of money because the medical expenses were so high.

I already stated above that if the OP was looking for a solution to his problem, he posted in the wrong forum.
This is the Politics forum, and if one starts a thread about health care here - it is going to turn into a political discussion.
You don't throw red meat into a tiger cage and expect the cats to ignore it.
As for leaving Wisconsin and becoming an Australian citizen - what is keeping you?
Since the civil rights movement most of which was good legislation. There were a few nut job fringe groups that over played their hand making a mockery of that movement in their attempt to ruin America

Maybe, or just confused by all the regulations. At the very least I would follow this poster's advice.
