The IRS was mired in similar scandals back in 2004 and 2006.
It did not gain much traction because everyone was too busy making money back then to notice or care about anything else.
Whenever there is a problem with IRS, it's serious. They are powerful and if they can be used against political opponents or to silence speech, that's dangerous and against the principles of this country. We should particularly consider it given that they're about to be a big role in the healthcare of ths country.
President Obama has class. He is willing to take responsibility even where it is not required. He holds himself to a higher standard than most Presidents in history. That is why the American people trust and like him.
Guantanamo bay, how about the doctor who helped locate Obama Bin Laden, he is in prison being tortured and fears they will kill him and he and his family pleaded for help. Obama can bask in the adoration where this man helped but the man is no longer useful to Obama so he continues to rot in jail.

Right...because preventing conservative groups from gaining the status they need to donate to political campaigns during a presidential race in which Obama spent over $100M more than his opponent isn't a big deal...

Did you miss the fact that Obama outspent Romney by $100 million in the election? If that isn't buying an election, I don't know what is. Obama is good at marketing, and that is about it. People like you completely fell for it.

Bigger scandals are Obama giving Wall Street trillions in welfare, or appointing Monsanto executive to the FDA, but most Americans don't give a crap about those either.
