Though repeated widely in hundreds of blogs and even the website of a Philadelphia newspaper, the original source of the quote appears to be a blog site called The Ulsterman Report.

Yet even “Ulsterman” doesn’t claim to have actually heard the words spoken. The blog merely quotes an unnamed source called “Wall Street Insider,” who quotes an unnamed source in Chicago, who was quoting an unnamed representative from Jarrett’s office, who was allegedly quoting Jarrett."

And now, also from your own source, here is the actual quote from the president that has eRay so apoplectic:

"No, no, no, don’t boo. Vote,” Obama told the crowd. “Vote! Voting is the best revenge.”

This is why no one should ever believe anything you post.
Another reason to not believe everything you read or hear.
Bloggers and reporters do not do their homework and convey hearsay as fact.

Yep. It gets picked up and repeated in blogs and message boards across the Internet so many times that before long it is believed as "fact." And individuals like the one who posted it in this thread will do no kind of research to verify the accuracy, because heck, it fits his narrative so well, what difference does it make whether or not it's true?

NO, that's NOT the reason. The Constitution says that bills MUST be payed. What didn't get paid was the unfunded liabilities. The downgrade came from the Dem Senate not being able to pass a budget. FACT!

I find it funny that the most mean-spirited and negative minority leader in my lifetime is whining about intimidation from the other side. What a baby.

Kind of like what you said about the downgrade. You picked that up off of a Left-Wing blog and ran with it.

On April 18, 2011, U.S.-based rating agency S&P issued a "negative" outlook on the U.S.'s "AAA" (highest quality) sovereign-debt rating for the first time since the rating agency began in 1860, indicating there was a one-in-three chance of an outright reduction in the rating over the next two years. S&P considered the government budget deficit of more than 11 percent of gross domestic product (GDP), and net government debt rising to about 80 percent or more of GDP by 2013, to be high relative to other "AAA" countries...
