Obama knows it first-hand. He came from an unprivileged background and worked hard to get through Columbia and Harvard, two of America's best colleges. He could have taken his Harvard Law degree and gone to Wall St to become a millionaire lawyer. Instead, he went back to Chicago to advocate for the working poor.
You practice racism by teaching your kids to think this way.
If teaching kids of African descent (not that African American BS. We were never American) what to expect from society as they age is considered racism, then consider me the Grand Wizard of the African version of the KKK.

"When was the last time he spoke of successful black men and women who struggled and pulled themselves up out of poverty? Or those who came from middle class that succeeded? He's not an example of success. Successful people work hard to get where they are, he was in the right time at the right place and had the gift of gab."
So basically you cannot defend your stance that the president has not worked hard to get where he is. Working hard on those personal attacks though.
Got it.
You have a comprehension problem. Obama and Michelle, who came from middle class, talking about themselves are NOT examples of black men and women who struggled and pulled themselves up out of poverty. I'm referring to black men and women who actually came from poverty/single family homes/paid their way through college/were achievers through hard work, and made a better life for themselves. But then again, they didn't do that did they, because they had help somewhere along the way.
Obama sure is doing a good job of taking the middle class and moving them into poverty.
Calling other people ignorant is a personal attack. You only think you aren't ignorant.

As if the only obstacle for African Americans is money.

Yes, at the earliest age they pulled themselves out of their ghetto strollers and grabbed a physics book down from the shelf and became self taught physicist without the help of a single person. By the way, even a middle class kid these days isn't paying their own way through college.

Calling you stupid is a personal attack, calling you ignorant simply points out your lack of knowledge.

And the right wing nutters hate him for it.
You're a fountain of information aren't you? Going through college is "work"? You are assuming that he "worked" hard to get through Columbia and Harvard, but he must have something to hide since he refuses to release his transcripts. Obama's grandparents, who raised him, were middle class.
Working poor? As a community organizer, he did two memorable things. He established a summer jobs program and had the asbestos issue addressed. He left small organizing because he realized that power was necessary to make change. And he went on to carve out a path that gave him the ultimate power to run the largest community in this country. He wasn't interested in an education at Harvard, he wanted to know how those in power thought, and most of those in power are Harvard grads.
I worked with lawyers, both black and white, that attended Columbia and Harvard. Their ability to apply their degrees went from mediocre to excellent. I also saw some of those grads asked to leave law firms after a year or two because they couldn't cut it. Wall Street lawyer was never on Obama's agenda. Power was always on his agenda.
I really wish people like you that defend Obama to the death would actually check on your own "facts" before posting.

Well according to some on the far right, a Black man becoming a lawyer, graduating from Harvard, becoming a senator and President is still considered ghetto. Nothing is ever good enough for these racists.
