Here is a list of people who have been hurt, killed during drug raids of WRONG houses. Ready for the kicker? I wanted to find out if the victims would be able to sue and win in a case like this. My findings were they can not. The victims have to prove that the law enforcement officials intended to target their house (the wrong one)!
This is where the State capitals should be protecting the people. State governments should make laws, where if a home is wrongly raided, the people get 50,000 plus damages from the law enforcement agency. If they kill someone, they get charged with murder. Here are just a few (it is happening more and more):
"A 61-year-old man was shot to death by
police while his wife was handcuffed in another room during a drug
raid on the wrong house.
Police admitted their mistake, saying faulty information from a drug informant contributed to the death of John Adams Wednesday night. They intended to raid the home next door." Man Dies in Police Raid on Wrong House - ABC News
Police raid wrong house, kill family dog and make children sit with its bloody corpse "According to a lawsuit filed in federal court in Minneapolis, members of the St. Paul Police Dept. drug unit broke down the door to the home of lead plaintiff Roberto Franco and shot the family dog before handcuffing all nine occupants - including three children - who were then forced "to sit next to the carcass of their dead and bloody pet for more than an hour." (they will have little luck with this lawsuit)
Evansville police arrived at the the home of 18-year-old Stephanie Milan and her grandmother, smashing an already-open door and tossing a couple of flashbang grenades in the building. The police said say they knocked, but that knocking in these instances is intended to "distract." Police Raid Wrong House, Steal 18-Year-Old Girl's Computer Thanks to Unsecured WiFi Connection
"Police raided the wrong Chicago apartment and terrorized the occupants, even demanding that an 11-month-old baby show his hands. They also reportedly told one child, "This is what happens when your grandma sells crack."
When are some of the American people going to wake up? We are all angry when our fellow Americans are attacked by terrorists....but how many of our fellow Americans have been killed wrongly by our own police and law enforcement? It is time to demand smaller government with accountability.
The only reason the DEA isn't berated as a greedy "union" in this country is because they have lobbyists and are employed by the government. The drug war has been a proven failure, yet we spend billions on paying these people to essentially be "weed wackers" and cost us all hundreds of billions in imprisonment. It's an incredible waste of money... especially after Mexico has recognized this; now it's just a dumb fight that we're fighting alone.
They are all black people. Whites don't care of the cops accidently kill or torture black people. Unless the black people finally get upset and riot.
Problem is that they riot in their own neighborhoods (where they live), when they're mad at people who don't care about their neighborhood (where the people who've took advantage of them live).
... It's a bit silly, really. And, very unorganized.

That is a generalized assumption based on your biased opinion. Do you have any data to prove what
"Whites" think ??? A crystal ball perhaps ? I guess you must be psychic, huh ?
On top of all that, how does that diatribe fit the thread ?

Since I am one, I know what WE think. And that is exactly what WE think. What kind of HELL do you think would happen out here in the fine suburbs if the cops kicked in even the RIGHT door and pointed a gun at an 11 month old white baby and then forced screaming 3 and 7 year olds to sit next to their bloody dead dog for an hour? You think the white folks out here in Arlington Heights would tolerate that?? These are people that get upset because they get caught at red light cameras or without seatbelts. So think of what kind of stuff would hit the fan if that happened out here. There would be hell to pay even if the cops had the RIGHT house much less the wrong house! But when it happens to "those people", most of us don't give a flying fornication about it and, if they had shot the baby, more of us would be upset about the dead dog.

Your statement is completely unfair. I am white. I don't want law enforcement abusing powers on anyone of ANY race, and just about everyone I know feels the same way.

Speak for yourself. I think you comments regarding a fellow human being because of their race are disgraceful.
